Active listening is an essential skill in successfully communicating with others. Active listeners do not evaluate the ideas or feelings of the person they are listening to. The listener accepts the person for what they are without making judgements of right or wrong, good or bad, logical or illogical.

Developing active listening techniques may seem challenging, but your leaders, managers and supervisors must have this skill. This course provides several techniques, including examples of phrases that can be used to encourage others to speak up and teaches the art of paraphrasing to confirm what is being said.
