This toolbox session, explains the preparation you should do before carrying out the task of cleaning up blood or body fluids. It trains on how to protect yourself while undertaking the cleaning task and how to safely dispose of items and materials.
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this course, learners will:
- Learn what protective PPE they should wear when cleaning up a bio-hazard spill such as blood or body fluids.
- Learn how to clean up a small spill using bleach and paper towels.
- Learn how to safely dispose of contaminated waste.
- Learn how to clean up items used to clean up the spill, such as scissors, tweezers and mops.
