This toolbox session discusses the 5 methods of segregating chemicals to ensure safe storage. The session discusses using distance, barriers, separate rooms or buildings and storage tanks.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this course, learners will:

  1. Learn the recommended minimum distance of 3 metres to safely store incompatible chemicals.
  2. Understand the types of barriers that can be used to safely store hazardous chemicals.
  3. Learn when to use separate rooms and separate buildings to store chemicals.
  4. Understand when to use external chemical storage tanks.
