It’s a legal requirement to ensure new employees understand the hazards and safety risks within their work environment, and safety induction training is the first step in that process. This is where compliance obligations and duty of care requirements are met and new employees receive training to keep them safe at work from day one.

This course includes the most common hazards that you need to cover in your safety induction. The training provides an overview of the hazard and trains in safe practice. The hazards that are covered include: PPE, Manual Handling, Signs and Barricades, Working at Height, Handling Chemicals, Slips and Trips, Confined Space, Heat Stress and Dehydration, Suspended Loads, Fire and Emergencies, Faulty Equipment, Noise, Isolating Energy Sources and Housekeeping.

The training is assessed using the hierarchy of hazard controls. Users are required to select control and critical control measures with all selections available in the user reports accessed on the TIS Training Platform.
