This course details the injury management steps if a worker is injured at work.
It explains the need for the injured worker to immediately notify their supervisor or manager, if possible, and the importance of completing an Incident Report. The course discusses the process of arranging medical treatment for workplace injuries.
It details the responsibilities of the worker, supervisor or manager, return to work coordinator and medical practitioner in the certificate of capacity (COC). It discusses the need to develop a return-to-work plan and the importance of a return to work as soon as practical.

At the completion of this course, learners will:
- Learn what to do if a worker is injured at work.
- Learn what is included in a certificate of capacity (COC).
- Understand the responsibilities of the COC by the worker, supervisor or manager, RTW Coordinator, the insurer and the medically treating doctor.
- Learn about seeking an independent medical assessment and working with external rehabilitation providers.
- Understand what should be included in a return-to-work plan.
