Working at height in residential construction exposes workers to a risk of a fall. Falls from height are common workplace injuries that can be reduced through safe working at height practices.

This course looks at aspects of fall risks when building a house with a second floor. Training is provided to educate on how to prevent falls to the same level, the level below and to depth.

Height equipment, for example, ladders, platforms and scaffolds are discussed in terms of their safe use and maintenance. A residential construction environment is compact and crowded where several contractors can be working closely together, and this can expose them to a serious fall from height.
